I enjoy using unusual mediums in a piece and making it look like it was made with traditional mediums. I also like to use or combine traditional mediums in unusual ways. This goes for my art, as well as every other part of my life.

My main goal is to become a tattoo artist. In the future I'd like to own my own shop. I am also interested in learning how to carve wood earrings & plugs.

I just graduated high school. I am studying art in college. I am plotting to bombard this tattoo artist in my town with my portfolio until he gives in and decides to apprentice me. I am very interested in tattoos and piercings and I have quite a few.

Digital Art

Sat Jul 11, 2009, 8:32 PM
The digital pieces I've been submitting lately were created using my scanner and adobe photoshop. One or two of them feature me, a couple have my sister, and the majority of them are my brother and my boyfriend. ALL of the effects that include the form of the actual figure were done in the scanner, with the exception of cleaning up some things to make it look more seamless. The lighting effects were done by me in photoshop. They seem pretty simple but they actually include many layers, many filters, many blending modes (my best friends!) and many leaps of faith pressing random buttons that my entry level photoshop class neglected to teach me. I'm trying to find something to do with all of these images because I think they are kind of cool and its a shame for them to just be sitting on the internet with no real home. If you are interested in using them somehow then contact me, I'm not looking for money or anything like that I just really want to see these images GO somewhere. I'm thinking of printing some on nice paper and giving them to this coffee shop by me and see if they can make some money off of them or something. But I'm not looking to make any profit, they were just fun things to do, and I really recommend you try doing this sometime even if you aren't a digital art type of person. Actually I hardly ever make digital pieces. Just these.
